Praktik Bakery (Barcelona) incorporates a bakery inside the hotel. What could be better than waking up to the smell of freshly baked bread? This is a distinctive hotel, offering something as “homely” as fresh bread to make our guests feel absolutely at home while sampling the delicious baking of Baluard, a traditional bakery owned by Anna Bellsolà. Guests can enjoy our bakery products at breakfast, over the counter, or while they relax in our charming cafeteria. Praktik Bakery is located inside an elegant building in classic Barcelona style, right in the heart of the famous Eixample area, bursting with modernist buildings of rich architectural value. The hotel is just 100m away from Paseo de Gracia and its emblematic buildings, luxury stores, and the famous La Pedrera Gaudi monument. During its very first year, in 2014, Hotel Praktik Bakery gained international recognition from a broad range of exclusive media. Selected by Wallpaper as one of the best urban hotels in the world; by Architectural Digest as one of the best boutique hotels; recommended by the New York Times; and chosen as one of the best 3 hotels for cruisers by CN Traveler, among others. Baluard Bakery

"Just as no two loaves of bread are the same; no two hotels are the same either. Each loaf of bread is a unique, artisan, an almost artistic piece of work, full of texture, colour, shapes, and in the same way, each hotel is unique in its charm, its aroma, its sensations and that welcome feeling on entering it. Praktik Bakery is that different hotel, an extraordinary place, a place where we have incorporated something as “homely” as bread into the hotel, because there is nothing better than enjoying an exclusive bakery such as Baluard to make our guests really feel at home. There is no finer aroma than fresh bread just out of the oven. I love bread. The bread my grandfather used to bake, which reminds me of humanity, wisdom and hard work. The bread my grandmother used to sell. The bread that later my father would knead and my mother would sell. And now time has passed by, but surrounded by the sea, the kneader continues to knead, the wood-fired oven turns every day, every corner of our bakehouse is dusted in flour, while her hands mould the dough in pleasured anticipation of another new loaf of bread. Simply bread. Cut it, smell it, savour its flavour and let your senses flow.
